What fire alarm system does my school need?

This depends on your fire risk assessment, the size and layout of your buildings and the number of occupants. Most schools need an addressable system to BS 5839-1. We'll survey your site and recommend the right solution.

Can you install during school holidays?

Yes — we schedule major work during holidays and half-terms wherever possible. Smaller jobs and servicing can be done outside teaching hours.

How do you handle safeguarding?

All our engineers are Enhanced DBS checked, hold SC security clearance and are screened to BS 7858 standards. We follow your school's safeguarding and visitor procedures, sign in at reception and wear identification at all times.

How do you reduce false alarms in schools?

Careful detector selection (heat detectors in kitchens and workshops, multi-sensor units in corridors), correct positioning and regular servicing all help minimise false alarms.

Can you service a fire alarm installed by another company?

Yes. We take over and maintain systems from other installers. We'll inspect the system, confirm its condition and set up a servicing schedule.

Can the fire alarm be linked to access control?

Yes. Fire alarm outputs can automatically release access control doors and mag-locks on activation, ensuring escape routes are clear during an evacuation.

Do you install emergency lighting?

Yes — escape route and open-area emergency lighting to BS 5266, installed and maintained alongside your fire alarm system.
